Doku reminds me of...

So let me get this straight.

Doku played by Christopher Lee, was once a Jedi Knight fighting for good, then becomes sudduced by the Dark Side and is now known as Count Doku.

Isn't he basically playing Bram's Stoker's Count Dracula again?

Yes... But this time he has force lightning.

erm... he was always Count Dooku... that's his real name ...

you mean he became Darth Tyranus after he is seduced by the dark side

Yep.

Yes, Sidious gave Dooku the moniker Darth Tyranus after Count joined forces with the dark side.

What I was saying was that the similarity between the two charcters was striking, but I think the problem is that the films in which Christopher Lee played Count Dracula was probably way before your time.

it was for me 😄

Isn't Dooku strikingly similar to Saruman?
They were both good and then they were seduced by evil, and by the Dark Lord (not sexually)......
And also, isn't it scary that Christopher Lee played them both?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

coincidence

not to mention a cool cape and a red saber.

That's another point why does tha dark side have red saber's and yet blue lightning from their fingers.

Perhaps, maybe the color of lightning cannot be controlled by the force. The color of a saber is determined by the gem used.
