REX's RPG - ~ Super Heroes ~

In the downtown area of a big city, there has been a small war started. A terrorist and gang ringleader named Tejere has been starting attacks against opposing gangs and rivals. Somehow he has managed to wipe them out. When the mayor of the city tried to put a stop to this, he wound up dead too. Then the military began to intervene. But then the military found out what Tejere has been using to wipe out his enemies: super villains. These special individuals have been using their freak powers to slaughter and kill, and are being heavily paid by Tejere to carry out his plans, though there might be more motives involved. And Tejere's plans have also surfaced: world domination. With the group of super villains working for him, he could easily conquer all of man-kind.

The World Leaders are disturbed by this. They send more military enforcement into the area, but they need more help than that after just one of the super villains wipes out over 100 men. They have the military retreat, but the civilians of the city form their own form of military, so that they may fight the terrorists and gangs. By now the small war has spread throughout the city and is beginning to touch the rest of its county, meaning numerous cities are beginning to feel Tejere's sting.

There is one last resort that the World Leaders can use: super heroes. The U.S. public has begun to think all individuals with freak powers are evil, and the rest of the world, after seeing what Tejere's allies have done on the news and in the papers, are beginning to think so too. So, in a way, the super heroes are exiles. But the World Leaders decide to send them in anyway, to put an end to Tejere's reign of terror and bring the world back to the peace it had been enjoying.

In 2015, the super heroes are sent to the city of Goldenrod, which is now a shell of its former glory...

TEMPLATES

Physical - Throwing cars and heavy rocks at people more your style? Or maybe running too fast to be seen? Your body is definitely not normal... (super strength, super speed, etc.; Hulk/Superman/Flash-type character)

Energy - Your powers are based upon the use of energy or elements (fire, electricity, etc.; Human Torch-type character)

Weapon - You have a weapon that gives you power and you wield it with expertise! Hack those terrorists up, evaporate those robbers, carve up those super villains! (magical sword, alien weaponry, etc.; [insert character who uses sword/alien weaponry here])

Mental - Your mind is your strong point, use it! Toss people around with a thought, disarm them with your mind's eye... (super-speed thinking, psychic powers, etc.; Raven/Dr. Xavier-type character)

Gunner - Who needs inhuman powers when you can shoot semi-autos, SMGs, MGs, and heavy weaponry with ease? (pistols, rifles, assault rifles, snipers, SMGs, MGs, bazookas, etc.; Punisher-type character)

Vigilante - Want revenge on the people who killed your parents? Think your town has had enough crime in its lifetime? Put an end to it! (use whatever it takes to put an end to crime; Batman-type character)

Don't worry, it's nothing like Ush's templates. Just pick one and your done with that part of it, then design a character...

* means "Optional". Physicals, Energies, Mentals, and Vigilantes don't necessarily use weaponry, though they can. Physicals might use giant clubs or wrecking balls, Energy might use a lightning rod or burning sword, Weapons definitely use a sword or some kind of melee weapon that gives them powers, Mentals...don't need anything I suppose, Gunners use...well...guns, and Vigilantes might have special devices (Batman has lots of devices).

If you do not opt for a weapon, simply delete it from the list when you assemble your final character bio.

Weaponry: Hardly uses weapons, keeps a desert eagle around just in case
History: He knows little about his history, apparently having his memory erased by a mafia-like gang when he was travelling abroad in Spain. He doesn't know where he acquired his powers, they were just... there, one day not too long after he woke from losing his memory. An average sized, reasonably muscular, tan-skinned fellow in his late 20's, he avoids drawing attention to himself wherever possible. When he is in "hero mode," he wears a pimpin' black leather jacket and shades.

Hell, ill join too. i used the hero machine to create my character. he's a guy im actually writing right now. and he doesnt exactly look how i drew him on paper. though, im not really sure what the hell is going on in this thread.

Powers/Abilities: his left hand contains a crystal that emits energy. he can make that enegry solid, keep it as plasma, basically create anything his imagination cooks up. he is also an excellent martial artist.
Weaponry: his crystal, and a zanbatou(6 foot rod with a blade on the end)
History: his past is riddled with sin, dealings with evil beings(how he got his crystal), his practicing of martial arts is making him better, and he deals justice where he sees fit, he is not above killing either hero or villain.

Powers/Abilities: Explosives and Weapons Expert, government prototype armor, defensive gear and devices
Weaponry: skilled and studied in all manner of weapons, all calibers, shapes and sizes, explosives and armaments, trained in military and spec-forces tactics
History: ex-military, was hard-core platoon-goon, squad-god hard-charging soldier type. Took the fight to any and all so called 'super villain types, under orders of government command. He was the guinea-pig for the prototype armor and cloak, and defensive equipment the government issued him.

Lost many good men under those government-issued orders, then was called off his most critical assignment; securing his small mid-western home town when the citizen militia moved in. He quit the spec-forces then, and went rogue, mercenary, taking on the small-town justice, but lost his family and home town because of his impatient solo act, and was presumed killed or turned by the militia or other encroaching super-villains.

So, now he looks to join forces with the other 'super heroes' to make amends and hopefully, eventually take back the town he once called home...

is that cool? kinda vigilante/gunner sort of dude I guess, but mostly into guns and explosives and blowing $hit up! 🙄 😱 😮‍💨

Powers/Abilities:Constantly generates a highly combustable energy source and can generate it rapidly under stress. Its very stable only he can cuase it too detonate, one side effect is it condense and solidifies on contact with metal. it can cuase fire arms, machinery to gunk up and stop working or misfire.

He also wears a mask that cannot be removed It unbreakable but isnt made of adamantium it seems more related to a super dense ceramic compound to witch he refers to as "Tupperware" . It acts as life support and has a few handy vision modes.

History: Your run of the mill experiment gone wrong. cloned of a dying version of the original "Maverick" resulted in a massive brawl between the copies and cuased all but L-06 to be killed in the scuffel. he only survived due to his new Mask.
