it is the most expensive movie to date, but the Goblet of Fire is more expensive with the current budget of $308 million!
But I am absolutely 100% positive that it will NOT beat the records of ROTK... not even GoF will beat it... because LOTR is now more popular, and many people ( adults and children alike) love that movie... HP is not as great compared to LOTR... LOTR is the BEST...
it is gonna be better than the first two, even with the editing... but it isn't gonna beat ROTK... I mean they won 11 Academy Awards!!!.... HP will NEVER win Academy Awards.. they don't take fantasy serious... only ROTK cause they notices how great of a movie it is...
I'm sorry, I am a LOTR fan, and a HP fan... based on books, I like HP more.. based on movies LOTR is the best... and that is how it is in the world....
after this year's oscars, i'm starting 2 question that. and they don't take fantasy seriously when it's best picture. i would know. rotk was very good and i'm a fan of it but i like harry potter more because there is so much more character devolpment then lotr. and mayb hp will win best picture...it just depends what installment it is.
i wasnt talking about the awards, i was talking about the box office - its more likely that GoF can beat RotK in the box office.
i think the LotR movies were made with the goal of raking in awards in the mind of the producers, its an epic production movie & was meant to please the critics.
besides, you have seasoned, professional actors in the LotR movies vs. the greenhorns of the HP movies - how can you expect a competition in that aspect? the HP movies are not being made to please the critics, just the fans.
Ppl will expect the same of this third movie as of what they saw in the last two hp movies, then i think it's certain this one to come can NOT beat the B.O. records of rotk, definitely not...
It's not that the hp movies won't one day be able to get the box office records like rotk, cause, look at the impact the hp bks used to have on the ENTIRE world, it's huge.
So, if the next movie is better than what it sounds like, and the rest continue to be just as good, maybe we can expect by the fifth movie to get top box office records as rotk...
but nothing's for sure anyways...

I think, since GoF has more suspense than before, you know with Voldemort and such, i think, GoF, has more appeal to break the box office, it should defeat RoTK thought, I don't like LOTR very much... they should not mind the running time of the movie though, i mean, the fans could understand the time of waiting, where they are all expecting a really very good movie and complete movie of HP... 🐰 🐰 🐰 🐰
