I don't mind reading subtitles, but if the only way to see it like that is by downloading it then I won't be watching it anytime soon. Not on this computer anyway!

I miss Hughes already........

BUt it would suck if Yusukes gf died...I already forgot her name....WWWAAHHHH!!!

the laguage selection on the dvd usually does the trick.

Well, yeah, I suppose that it would... 😮

Question though...how much do they change the versions you buy in the US? I didn't know if there was a version outside of what was on the dvd that was a little truer to the original, or if they just don't change much other than dialogue...and some gore er w/e...

Hello... may i join your forum please?

hi angel_wings, have you watch yyh with its original japanese language?

YEP!!! Megumi Ogata is my idol so i try and listen to her voice and copy it as much as i can. I'm studying Japanese so i can at least understand a little bit of what they're saying when i listen to the subtitled version

~since when r u studying japanese?~
mind if I join you guys?

i've been studying it for a long time. but i only know a few words though and it's fine with me if you join but you'll have to mainly ask them since i just joined too

ok
oh wait I know what you mean by japanense you mean stuff like baka, baka onna, baka yarou, baka ningen, so on and so forth

wow, studying japanesse. I wanted to, because some people who seeing me watching japanesse anime w/subtitle, they laugh at me. Anyway I didn't mind it too-the subtitled.
Anyone can join here ofcourse.
😊

I know! No one minds if you join up in our mediocre conversations...we've been lacking any interesting material since YYH hasn't been airing anything new-it's not even on so that doesn't help either. It's sad here, but new minds are quite welcome!

the episodes on the dvd are uncut. they show more blood. there's also more footage. an episode usually runs at 35-40 minutes compared to the edited version on cartoon network that only has 22 minutes of actual showtime.

they also sell the cartoon network version of the series, but why would you wanna buy that? plus there is so much lost in translation. and the emotions are much more authentic when you watch the japanese soundtrack, even the opening theme sounds kick ass.

the uncut version sounds so much better than the catoonnetwork version. but i've only seen the edited version. it so sucks cause my libary doesn't have the manga's or the movies and I know i won't find the movies down at the local movie rental.

yeah they do

like in the cave episodes with the unedited version of Yu Yu Hakusho when Kurama fights that devourer guy it shows him literally take off his head and the younger toguro's head pops out of a bloody lower jaw..it looks funny

is cartoon network up to the fights with Raizen and Shigure yet?

No..it stopped where Yusuke was abotu to fight the Sensui guy for reals...

lol

cartoon network is soOoOoo far behind now...

yes....

ohhhh...well, the others I'd asked insisted that there is no difference, but I didn't believe that...I knew there had to be something better! Okay then, so a lot of the stuff I see for sale has "as seen on AS" on it...and I don't want that, so where's a better source to buy from?

i got mine from fry's electronics and best buy. i got the dark tournament saga (part 1 &2) first then started buying the episodes that wern't included in the box sets. the dark tournament begins (part1) and the dark tournament ends (part 2) usually fetches $70. the other episodes vary from $10 - $20.
