What Is The Meaning Of Life?

Started by Chibi Boy52 pages

But if you are still here or you come back, this has a part of this conversation as the meaning to life has something to do with a god or that is my belief. But I won't complain.

Yes, the meaning of life can encompass many things....But for me it's enjoying it...

enjoy = meaning.

An innocent way of the reproduction issue

OMG, I used to argue this point as a precocious child 😠

But now, apparently the phrase is and always will be, the birds and the bees. Which is illogical.

So I understand, I should have understood when you first made that comment.

The meaning of life can not be understood by the logical mind.

So you have reached enlightment have you Siddhartha Gautama?

“One must find the source within one’s own Self, one must possess it”

Are you saying that source cannot be logical? 😆

"Many paths can be taken to reach a destination"

Do you know where those quotes come from?

Life doesn't need a meaning. Life will continue to exist for as long as it is suppose to without having to be confined to a singular "meaning."

Yes, but I study only the Lotus Sutra. We are all connected, if one of us is enlightened then we are all enlightened. We simple need to come to understand this. Understanding that we are already enlightened is harder than it sounds. I am still a work in progress, I have a long way to go, but thanks for the encouragement.

Then you realise the they come from Shakiamuni himself and due to misrepresentation of many of his monks and the timespan of the creation of the lotus sutra in written form a(bout 150 years), that its varacity can be questioned as much as the teachings of the various Christian religions.

With the ever-so-slight exception that one of them actually makes a little sense.

Yes, Yes 💃

It is so wonderful to be in a religion that was made by very smart people who have spent thousands of years looking at the human condition. When I see that these people are just human, my faith only grows. When I saw things in Christianity that did not make sense I was told not to question.

My religion is not from a nonexistent god, like Christianity is, it is from very smart people. I always think for myself, no one can control me.

I say...let's make a club....only the thinkers are allowed...Oh...yes, how I would enjoy it....the world would say we're in hell, but we'd know better.....and we'd enjoy life to the fullest extent wouldn't we.....

ISN'T LIFE GRAND!

Buddism and other eastern philosophys do make alot of sense, especially zen buddism which I partially believe in, it does infact rely alot on logic contrasting with western religions that for the most part partake in blind mystical oriented views, your right though eastern philosophys do have notable faults as well.

You say that when you noticed something made no sense, you were told not to question it? Obediently, you ignored the illogical and stuck to your belief that anything is possible. And yet you say that no one can control you?

The meaning of life is to be happy. There is no point to living besides "I want to".

So, did you choose to live?

the meaning of life is to not leave the earth the way you found it. add a little of yourself to the world. leave a little something behind to be rembered by. and after you have like, a kagillion people who change the world somehow, it'll end up either as a fantastic place, or a total screwhole. which one is for you to decide

the meaning of life.
there is none.as humans there are somethings we are ment not to know . now mybe it is take life as it is and make it the best you can.
just be glad you have one
