Do you think the X-factor gene comes form the Carbon molecule

You know the hexogon shape when carbon forms. Is it a change of that molecule that generates the gene that provides the superpowers.
Mabey the carbon is somehow exposed to air when forming adding to itself before the bond is complete, giving the gene it creates superpowers.

Um, carbon does make up the backbone of DNA, but when a gene(s) becomes changed (mutates), its a result of a change in bases (the bases being the purine or pyrimidine coming off of the pentose constituent of DNA). Changing the ring structure of the purine or pyrimidine can alter how the cell reads those bases, but this would probably compromise the structure of the DNA molecule. The cell would instead guess what that base was, which can change how the gene is transcribed. Remember, this is all assuming one gene (i.e. one product, one protein) can give create all arise to all the mutant superhuman powers found in the Marvel Universe. This is a big, huge, gigantic leap of leap of imagination done on behalf of the writers at Marvel.
