I don't know, they have a pretty good communication defense and relay survey's. It would probably take a few minutes. The covenant may be beasts but they aren't barbaric.

Hah, their security systems are so adamant; not even a rock can float within a jump of the city and be vaporized. Ships coming in have to use special authorization codes(updated hourly) and if theyre a nanosecond too late their vaporized too.

Ironically, they weren't expecting their most hindering opponent to be beamed right into the lion's den by a slimy giant THING.
