Dandy Warhols

Just recently got into this band. Catchiest music I've heard in a while, I know half the lyrics off by heart already. Nice and laid back compared to my usual tastes.

Anyone like them?

Absolutely superb band, I've liked them for years and have seen them a good few times. Last Junkie on Earth is one of my faves.

seen them a few years back in leicester...they're quite good....

bohemian like you lalala

That song is just plain annoying now 😖

My favorite song is probably Nietzsche 👆

I like them! They're really good!

omg!

i've been absolutely hooked the past few days!

LOVE.

just LOVE!

😊

Boys...you bettaaaaaaa

Yep...they rule.

I like The Brian Jonestown Massacre more.

Was jsut going to say something like that.

BJM for the win!!

Then again I would have just said it because BJM are great...not because I actually know anything about the music of the Dandy Warhols.

W-why is that a suitable reply?

The two bands are constantly compared, or so I thought.

They sound completely different from one another.

they are. and for the record BJM >>>> TDW

For your record, maybe.

Thirteen Tales From Urban Bohemia is an example of that real musical rarity; an album without a single bad track, nor one that is anything less than stellar.

i always thought of 13 tales to be one of their weakest albums. not saying its bad or anything, everything DW releases is superb, but 13 tales just never hit it off with me. i prefer Come Down or The Dandy's Rule OK?

The first two albums were good, but for me TTFUB is them at their peak. Everything they've done after it pales in comparison. I think it's much more focused and well put together than their first two aswell, and you just can't fault songs like Nietzsche, Mohammed and Godless which sound like My Bloody Valentine colliding with Arcade Fire. And then you've got the perfectly formed pop songs like Solid, Big Indian and Cool Scene. Man it's just got everything. Love that album from top to bottom.

I've only listened to Welcome to the Monkey House, but it was one of those albums which I listened to for the first time and fell in love with it immediately 🙂
