I read that they are going to get an unknown actor to play Rorschach because of the scenes where he isn't wearing his mask. It would be wierd to just see Simon Pegg running around in the background. People would twig that he must have some importance to the story. I also heard that they have asked Brad Pitt to play ozymandius
