Wow, you would be embarrassed if there aren't four bursts in that gun, wouldn't you?
You have a two in four chance of having picked up one with enough. On a 1-3 you have, 4-6 you have not. I roll... a 4! Today you are lucky.
But your attack rolls -7 and misses completely.
(j/k)
You actually rolled +8, which is lethal. That is a 24, and another ten damage to Loomis, who despite a +3 on his death check, fails it.
Loomis' front is riddled with bullets. He falls, jerking, backwards and comes to rest against a piece of mahcinery. His breathing is quick and shallow.
"I..." he tries, but the effort is too much. "Just... ah..."
And his breathing quickens, and quickens some more... and then stops.
He's dead, Burn. You've killed one of your own. This was no coppertop. He was a free Human, who escaped from the Matrix just like you. You've never done anything remotely like this before. Coppertops are one thing. Shooting at Agents wouldn't kill them and even if it did you would be glad. But THIS... this isn't what it was meant to be about.
