I will be making some changes to the username changing ability. Before I do, I thought I'd gauge opinion.

1st change requires the minimum time to be increased to a month.
2nd change (more controversial) will make it impossible for you to get your username back. So neither you, or anyone else, will be able to take the username your change from.

Hopefully the changes will make people think twice before making the switch.

a month is quite long and I don't really am happy with the second one... I mean... never get it back? 😖

I guess it would be fair not to be able to get your username back, then only people who really want to change their name and stick to it will be chaning their names, however, what if someone whats their old name back and are not able to get it back.

Another Q, does these new changes affect us that have changed our names week ago?

I'm going to wait a while before implementing it, so you should be able to get your original name back.

I have a kind of suggestion
i think the waiting a month and never getting your name back will cause trouble and not solve problems after all it will bring back the 'raz change my name' 'raz swap my name with..' 'raz, clean my boots' Posts

so i thought maybe you could make it so when you change your name it wipes all your posts, completely (this will make people think twice and then twice again about name changing) and before you can change it again you must build your post count up to 1000, or a certain set number....

Simple solution: I will say no.

try "StormyDay", or "Stormy_Day".... it refuses it because you have already used it
