๐ draco is and will always be the eternal defender of the GC.
of course NINTENDO is kiddie, it's always been. it's the only company that knew how to take advantage of lil' kids (AKA Us older players).
what could we possibly expect out of a 8 bit console? nothing more than cartoonish-like games. nintendo didn't evolved from that concept until the GC came out (we all know the train wrecked that N64 was, they tried to save it in the end, but there was nothing they could do).
nintendo is trying to shake off the kiddie stigma they have, but i think they shouldn't. i had just as much fun playing DKC (in the SNes, not N64) as i did playing GTA, gore doesn't exactly warranties success.
it's great that good mature games are coming out for the GC, but overall, nintedo is and will always be kiddie(bloodsucking) oriented company
Actually, there's a pretty substantial following of us that have stuck with Nintendo based on the game experiences originally provided back on the NES in the early 90's. I'm 32 and damn proud to have a Gamecube alongside my Xbox, and I have owned an NES, SNES and N64 as well.
While Nintendo has made no hidden agenda in terms of being a company tailored to the younger audience, they have realized that the demographic that they attended to back in the early 90's has obviously gotten much older, and have attempted to update their image to ensure they keep that 18-35 age group still interested in their products. You only need look to Conker's Bad Fur Day, Perfect Dark and Goldeneye for the Nintendo 64 to see evidence of that.
