Rex, you have to abort your jump mid-way. A blistering volley of repeater-gun fire was arcing in front of you and you nearly went straight into it.
Arashan is firing at you from level four, with his VERY fast firing repeater gun (you know what I mean, you have played Outcast...)
You land on the other side of the same level.
"I suppose I should take care of Arashan first." Gald stays low to the ground and runs past the Geonasian and Lance. Gald dives to avoid a volley of blaster fire from Arashan's heavy repeater (that's what it's called in Outcast), and then jumps towards Arashan using the Force to guide him through the air.
Arashan considers meeting you head on at first, but with your sabres out he doesn't think he can win that way. As you leap down towards him, he slips sideways with his gravboots again, skimming backwards across the blacony and firing at where he was a moment ago, where you are heading.
(Bascially, those boots allow him to move like a person in an FPS game- he can move sideways, and circle strafe, and so on...)
Arashan backs away very fast, using his grav boots to slide, and continues to fire short, accurate bursts at you.. Meanwhile, you are distracted by continually having to fend off shos from battledroids, increasingly crowding onto the balcony, and Arashan's men who are firing at you from this level now as well!
Gald blocks the shots and leaps towards Arashan. He lands close to Arashan and throws his ex-mentor's lightsaber right at the coward they call a hit man. Gald uses the other to block blaster bolts coming at him and uses the Force to guide his red saber in the process. Gald finds it very difficult (it being that he's not a very good Force-user).
It's not easy to block these shots, Rex. Arashan keeps firing them, very fast and well-spaced.
But you are in your element here, and you find yourself reacting without thinking about it. And even though your use of the Force is not very precise, when it comes to moves in combat you have the skill to make it work.
Arashan throws himself backwards to just avoid the sabre as it flies past his head. This gives you time clear without him firing at you- however, you now find yourself under VERY heavy fire from his men.
Just to give you the scene:
There are at least twenty people firing at you at any one time, at least twice that trying to kill you in one way or another. You are having to flip, slide, twist, dodge and block through this firestorm while trying to take care of this trained hitman.
The gun comes out of his hands but not all the way to you. It clatters on the ground in front of him. Cursing, he draws a small pistol from his belt and starts to fire it at you as desperately reaches forward for his gun...
If it is a crowd it is droids; Arashan's men are spread out. Droids spark and fall to pieces from your throw but you are never going to take on all of these bastards.
Arashan stops firing and dives forwards onto his gun.
A group of droids have been firing at you from below, and you twist around to fend off their attacks agin, just in time to see Chion's huge sabre slice through two at once.
