Actually over 4000 Oriental girls were at the open audition. The line was really really long! 😖 There were definitely girls who I thought looked better than Katie. I was really very surprised as well as disappointed when I saw her pic.

the only reason i can think of is: she can actually act though we don't really know that for sure do we?
and if she can't it'll be a really big disappointment seeing as her looks aren't exactly..

Hm, if the Harry Potter books had said that Cho Chang was of mixed races, like for eg, her mother being Caucasian and her father Asian, I'm sure they would've casted girls of mixed races. Mixed people of any race are so beautiful! But it seems as if Cho has to be a pure Asian, so that's why they had to choose a pure one.

ahahahaha. are you saying that she doesn't look decent without make-up. i think she is normal-looking [by asian standards she wouldn't be very attractive]. well - no amount of make-up can save that nose, pray they won't zoom in on it.
fake katie is pretty - unfortunately she's a thai singer... notetoon or something like that. pity she isn't british born - she might've gotten the part if she were.
