Korri Abbey
Korri Abbey is a Laranian religious settlement in southwestern Kanday on the isle of Hârn. As of 1320 SA it consists of the village of Korri, a monastery, a temple, a cathedral of Laranian persuasion, and - out in the moor - a Peonian monastery. Korri is also the seat of the Ternula Diocese of the Laranian Church. The use of the name Korri is not precise among the people of Hârn, and has not been made so for these documents. Korri Abbey is specifically the Laranian temple (with its associated cathedral), but may also refer to the whole settlement, including the village and two monasteries.
This set of web pages details Korri and its environs. If there is a focus beyond this, it is on the history of Korri and in particular the years after it was declared the seat of the diocese.
All of the material presented here conforms first and foremost to my version of Hârn, and only secondly to the material published by Columbia Games Inc. Therefore, if you come across a contradiction between what I have written and what the official material says, it is not necessarily because I have been careless (though it might be!).
Note also that I have tried to be consistent about "my version of Hârn" in all I've written over the last couple of years. It is therefore worthwhile reading some of the other material I have written in order to better understand what is presented here; in particular the background of the PBeM Beneath the Golden Moon is relevant.
Note: Though the material presented here gives only an incomplete picture of Korri, it is nonetheless more information than anyone on Hârn has - that is, this is a resource which is more suited for gamemasters than for players.
Finally, all dates are given in the Peonian calendar unless otherwise noted. In order to convert the year to Tuzyn Reckoning, simply subtract 600 from the SA date. For days and months, it is not so easy however, and reference should be made to David Millians excellent description of the calendar.
