Mihai quietly walked up next to Tal. The two were in a calm circle, in the centre of the fighting. When he stood next to her, he was a full head shorter than her, but he didn't look up at her. Gazing out to a point past the fighting he said,
"Remembering? Don't dwell long on it, the past is gone, all that matters is now and the future."

"But my can affect my future. I become to careful and stressed. I am loosing it, Mihai." tal said still saring at the same spot. Her blue eyes emotionless. She had given up on feeling. It never helped her, only hindered.

"Losing it? Losing what? You cannot doubt your God, can you? If that is not the problem, it must the fanaticism you are losing. You are no longer willing to throw yourself at it. Are you?"

Tal nodded. "I am tired of this. One miute we're bing attacked, then the next peace. It could break anyone's spirit. and I feel more pain from a lost love. Corny I know, but I wonder where he's at. what he's doing. I guess what i'm feeling is abandonment of the people that were close to me. Does that sound incredibly stupid?"

"Stupid? No. You are not a stupid person. But is not angelic. You sound like you are feeling more human than a vessel of God. As soon as love overtakes duty in your mind, then you have a heart. No matter if duty ever beats down love after that, you will be secure in the knowledge that your heart is a place that only you, and anyone you give it to, have control of. Not even God has control over a heart. Which love do you mourn for?"

Tal sighed. "Rhemus. He disappeared from the mission along time ago and I haven't heard from him since."

"I have never heard of this Remus. Who was he?"

"He was a nemux(sp?) angel. he was told to come along and did. He saved me a lot of times and eventually we fell in love." Tal said. "Now he's gone. I've been abandoned. Not only by him, but by one of my close friends, Andora, I haven't seen her in a long time." Tal's blue eyes began to tear as they reflected the pain she felt.

((Bleh, I joined, but I'm not sure how to join the topic. I'm a bit lost, I read ten pages back, and as far as I can tell, someones died, Tals sad about it, and we're all in the middle of a battle with gargoyles? Tell me if I'm right.))

Mihai nodded slowly. "I'm sure he's always with you in spirit. Andora, undoubtedly, was one of those here for entirely selfish reasons, like myself, Vash, and Nemx. For your sake, I'm glad I did not hide it. If at any moment I view the goals of this group as conflicting with my own, I will leave, and if you ever pose a threat to my plans, I will obliterate you. We both work for a greater purpose, mine is simply not as well known.

"However, I am still keen to know if I am correct. Have you lost the fanatical devotion with which you started your journey?"

Tal sighed. "I feel bad admitting it, but yes, I have lost most of my "fanatical devotion" as you call it." she says looking at her feet.

"hey tal is it ok if i probe your mind, i am bored"nemx says.

Zanther was still standing in the same spot from where he landed after draining the nearby carcus of the winged gargoyle, eyes still glowing a bright silver.

Tal shrugs. "Sure, I don't think have anything to hide." she says opening her thought and allowing Nemx to probe her mind.
