Well try and make clear that by starting a 'physical" relationship you dont have to ruin the friendship there are lots of people who get together after knowing eachother for years and all..
If she knows what you feel like and all.. and the friendship thing is the only reason you should try and assure her that the friendship wont be ruinded if you guys date. Just ask her if she has feelings for you and if not she should just tell you coz normally you get over love pains if the other person tells you to f*ck off or the opposite so.. just do that you'll get into the next stage 🙂
