How did Wes Craven get the idea for Nightmare on Elm Street?

Ahh, reporting and ignoring, the virtual equivalent of "I'M TELLING MY MOMMY", and "The silent treatment".

I very well may be wrong but I believe I heard he based the story after a bum that terrorized him as a kid.....if I didn't get it right, I'm sure BackFire will!! 😄

Sounds reasonable to me, I'd be intrested to hear the full story.

Me either, Boom! If it's like most of the remakes that have come out over the last couple of years, I feel I will be sorely disappointed. However, I can't help myself and will have to see it irregardless of my initial qualms of any remake of a great movie.

Evil Dead REMAKE? God,it never ends does it....
First they tainted the name "Psycho",now they'll do the same with this series....
