The problem is that Lakers don't want to sign and trade him and NY doesn't have the right budget without a trade.

New York...another team I've always hated.

I don't hate any of the teams in the west really. I just really hate San Antonio and Sacramento. I was pissed the Lakers played the Timberwolves and not the Kings.

I always kinda liked New York because of the Starks years. I liked Spike Lee and the atmosphere of their arena. but i've never really rooted for New York, so i guess you could say i hate them...

never really been a new york fun....i couldnt get enough of reggie miller ripping there hearts out...i loved it when he would give spike lee the "your team chokes" symbol after every big shot he made

man....you guys have no idea what it's like having to live through the Vlade years. It was a nightmare...and tested my patients as a fan.

i recall those laker years, man they were terrible.

I think the last time i liked New York was back when they made the finals(and won), with Willis Reed, Earl the Pearl, and Walt Frasier(hahaha, i wasnt even born yet)

one of the sideline reporters told kobe that isiah thomas definetly gonna try and make him a deal and kobe said that he's not opposed to playing in new york and would certainly listen to kobe...i know that could mean absoulty nothing but i think it shows he's at least a lil interested in new york

His Nike salary will be DOUBLED if he goes to New York... That's AT LEAST 90 million.
