Btw, what do you think of the translations of the title in other languages?
Most are pretty much the same - der Herr der Ringe in german, Le Seigneur Des Anneaux in French, Il Signore Degli Anelli in Italian and so on, O senhor dos anéis, Władca Pierścieni, El Señor De Los Anillos/El senyor dels anells, Ringenes Herre, meaning the same as the English version

but some translators changed the name - not too rigorously, but still... like in Chinese it's "mó jiè", meaning "magical ring" or "ring of power" or something like that [afair]

There are also languages where I have no idea what the words mean, but I guess it's different ---
Sagan om Ringen [no idea, maybe its the same, but it somehow sounds like "the tale of the ring" - but I dont even know what language it is 😛 - swedish? ~ wasn't that just the title of FoTR? 😕]

Seeing as the Trilogy is mainly about Frodo and his journey to put the ring to it's end...

It would have made more sense to name the movie The Ring Bearer...since he was the main bearer of the "one ring"

Though, I think Tolkien named the book just fine in my mind !

I prefer Lord Of The Rings. It's not a name I might've come up with if I'd written the book,
