They've had that in the Clone Wars so it is part of the movie canon. And it's just the one we've seen so far in TCW, so it's certainly not been overused in that medium either.

So yeah would be cool to see in the movies.

Blacklight sabers don't cut through anything. They just reveal semen stains.
