I said he was the leader of the "Mûmakil", as I remember you saying once before
ah the cute orc in Moria, he was a funny creature,
mmm.....my fav orc is perhaps the one in the mirror of Galandrial, the one who slews a hobbit and has blood over its mouth.
or the cheeky one who got its head chopped off in TTT "what about them.....their fresssh"

Lol seriously though my favourite characters are the hobbits
not for the shallow reason that they are hot, and wtaching the DVD in bed is life hidden pleasure. 😘
But for the fact, that in the books* when they first start off. they are the innocent travellers, they are after all, only going to bree.
but during the story the hobbits grow, not litterally of course, excpept merry and pippin 😛, and they mature in a way. they lose their innocence *looks at shadowy* and become in a sense...the real heroes, i believe they resemble something much more than an adorable 3 foot tall little hairy man, the hobbits are the reluctant heroes of the story, peace loving creatures who 'never do anything out of the ordinary' until their spirits are kindled.
Showing that everybody should fight for what they believe in, and a better world
I thank you!
* Yes books--there lotr books you know!
Just one?
I pick Gandalf. Give the guy his props. Great name, style coming out of his ears, a good heart, a firm, confident leadership style, an excellent horseman, an accomplished raconteur, skilled with the blade, wise, well-read, articulate, multi-lingual, funny, humble, resourceful, gracious, diplomatic when necessary, but harsh and plain-spoken when appropriate. What else? Driven, a self-starter, an ascetic in areas that aided his mission, but able to appreciate the small pleasures of life like good food, a good pipe of tobacco, and good conversation. He had a clear vision of who he was and where he was going, and rarely wavered from it. A few more: gumption, grit, determination, and an uncomplaining spirit. He even knew when and how to bow out gracefully. And please... how great is it that his favorite hobby was Hobbit-lore?
Favorite Silmarillion character? Keep your fancy-pants Elves -- I'll take Húrin any day. 😛

I know, I know... *sigh* but I just can't chose just one ^^
*tries to decide* Morgoth, Sauron, Wiki, Beleg, Túrin, Nienna or Pharazôn? 6'_'
Ok... Not Pharazôn though he is a very interesting Númenórean and Sauronist... and has a wonderful name ^^... he is a little too boring.
Not Nienna because she does nothing except for crying... there is no real story.
Not... errrh... Witchy... because *thinks* *can't think of anything* because, I mean, he is just Witchy ~ probably a Black Númenórean 😱 A Sauronist 😱 who has a lovely Ring 😱 and a lovely horse ^^ but still, he's just Witchy.
Not Morgoth because he has nearly no character and appears mostly in a distanced, far-away-danger -style, that's boring
Not... ekh, who is left?? Not cry not my beloved Beleg... he's too much of a hero. Prissy elf. He is too good.
So, who else was there... Sauron and Túrin... HM.
*desperated* *cant decide*
*ages later*
ok, not Sauron, because of his evil lets-kill-Gorlim-The-Unhappy-by-making-him-think-there-is-a-way-to-revive-his-dead-wife-idea *cries* evil Sauron 🙁
Túrin then,
Though he killed one of my other nearly-fav characters 🙂

who's this Thauron? It sounds like Tauron, but that's a name for Orome, a vala.
Sauron/Sauro/Súro//Thauron < saura (etym. *THUS) "foul, abominable";
Sindarin equivalent is "thaw" or "thû", hence also Sauron's second Sindarin name "Thû" [besides "Gorthaur" you already named][cf in the original Lotr Frodo cries "Gurth i Morthu"="death [to] the black Thû"]
Tauron in contrary comes from "Taure", meaning "forest" ["lord of the forest"] < *TÂWAR
Though it could theoretically also come from "Taura", "mighty" < *TUR
