i'm good in ART i'm sure of that 😄 😉

but let me tell you what my favorite MATH subjects are:

Arithmetic
Algebra
Plane Geometry
Solid Mensuration
Plane and Spherical Trigonometry
Analytic Geometry
Differential Calculus
Integral Calculus
Differential Equations
Engineering Mathematics
Probability and
Statistics 😄

😮 did i forget one? 😄

😎

showoff 😛

well, since your the king of math, my little problem shouldn't be an issue for you....Given a 5 digit humber, if one writes a "1" behind it, it is three times as large as if one writes a "1" before it...what is the number?

boo!!!! integrals!!!!

😄

😮 cant get de problem but tries reading it again and again 😄

yes! i've stumped the master! 😛

i don't know what time it is for you, but its 2:17 am here! (a bit late to be thinking so hard about numbers 🙂) so i'm gunna go to bed, i'll ttyl! night! 🙂

😮 it's so hard, you know... sweat

but i got it at last... 😄

the number is 42857 💃

428571 / 3 = 142857

😄 😎

this is how i got it...

i would never have worked that out

i worked on that for almost two hours 🙁

jesus. You have more patience than me

juz bcoz i cant sleep if i couldn't solve dat one.

oh.

😎

well you figured it out

Another ice breaker since some of The Magic Boxes are still in the making 😄 :

I was walking along the road when I met my mother-in-law's only daughter's husband's son. What was the relation of this person to me?

I discovered another solution: 😄

The verbal equation that can be derived at the problem is:

10x + 1 = 3 (100000 + x) ; where x = is the 5 digit number
10x + 1 = 300000 + 3x
10x - 3x = 300000 - 1
7x = 299999

x = 299999/7

therefore,

x = 42857

😄

Back to the ice breaker: 😄

wow! nice job! 🙂 I got it using a similar method...but i'm sorry i made you stay up so late trying to figure it out! But i understand how you feel, on my math 4 final i had this one sigma notation problem that i could not figure out, and i was gunna have to come back later to finish it...so all during choir practice i sat there, singing, but not really thinking about what i was thinking...but thinking about that math problem. I finally figured it out and shared that w/ all the ppl around me, who proceded to give me the "alright, your weird" look 🙂 (sorry...that was a rather random story 😮) and i know you'll prolly want me to answer your other question...but i'm absolutely terrible w/ those kind of questions! *thinks about it anyways* ...hes gotta be your son too...cuz if thats her only daughter, she married you! 🙂
