I went to see Spaceship ONE take off today!! OMFG IT WAS AMAZING!!!
for those of you that dont know, Spaceship ONE is the first Privately funded spacecraft to acieve sub-orbital launch (that is, 62 miles or 100 km up, the edge of the Earth's atmosphere)
SS ONE is also the leading contender for the X-Prize, a 10 million dollar award for the first re-usable craft to reach sub-orbital space WITH passengers twice in a 2 week span.
