Unhosted RP Rules/Guidelines discussion

Alot of us have played the game Halo. You play as Master Chief and therefore get a feeling for the characters attitude and personality. But most of us dont know how master Chief started out. This RP is about how everything first started. Halo, The Master Chief and those Aliens we know as Covenant.

The time is roughly 550 years into the future. Humans have colonized other planets in different galaxies and have made contact with a violent race of aliens known as the covenant. The covenant have declared war on the entire human race for reasons the humans aren't sure of.
With a more advanced enemy comes the need for more advanced soldiers. In 2552 Dr. Catherine Halsley came up with a plan to change the tides of way and perhaps stop the covenant. Her plan was a project known as SPARTAN. The project was kept a secret. If anyone knew the cold truth behind it, it would end in failure.
Her project went smooth and in the end turned out a success. So successfully she decided to start another project. This time she would make sure the spartans were even more effective as they had been before.

In this RP you will start out as a normal 6 or even 7 year old boy or girl. You can live on any planet you want. Even make one up if you want, but you MUST be human.
Your characters will be kidnapped from their homes and taken to a different planet to be brutally trained to become the ultimate killing machines.

You can also RP as one of the scientists or trainers... BUT you must know alot about halo to RP one of those characters.

I'm starting to get irritated that many people roleplay their same character in every roleplay. How about some originality?

Actually I play same MAIN character of mine all the time. I play other characters too at the same time. Hoep that dosent couint 😬

ok guys... forgive me but im going to be taking some time off Role Playing for some skating... i may not be on as much... so i hereby delete all my characters in all the RP's......

Alot of the roleplays i'm in all have pretty much the same flaw. That flaw is that everyone in the roleplay (for the most part) wants their character to be "the cool one" and "the bad-ass"

Rarely will anyone allow their character to be beat up, let alone lose a fight. This is why so many of our roleplays are unsuccessful - because the whole thread is filled with a long neverending fight. Am I one of the only people who has noticed and realized this? Let alone has been bothered by it.

❌ I hate it... I try to do the best I can, take damage and whatnot but also try to dish it out like a "bad ass" 😛 But yeah, I know I use the same characters for each Rp, but its just so I can keep up with them. I used to use a different one, with a different style each time but I got really confused, So I try to use the same one, but with different looks and a different personality 😛

I usually take a dive and allow my characters to be the guy who gets beaten up alot or the not so cool or badass one

I'm gonna try that one day. I'm usually the weird, angry one.

mostimes, when any pvp (player char vs player char) rp fight im in gets too long i let myself lose...either that or some other character comes into the scene...thats why i dont get into pvp fights very often, and usually make up my own enemies to fight, and win/lose against..

Ugh, yes. Unfortunately it isn't limited to KMC, or RP forums - it's in MMORPG's and NWN. 🙁 Originality is hard to come by.

I'm one of those people actually and I'm proud of it. I'm proud because I know that I made a good character. One that I can use in multiple RPGs. Originallity is hard to come by but getting a really good character is even harder.

Meh, i normally say I'll join if it gets off it's feet. However, if i join early and then the RP turns to total bs im out. Ie: Inasane godmodding, bad plot, repetitive events. The works.
