yeah thorp beat phelps but phelps trying to win the most medals ever won at a single olympic by one person 8 i think and the kids only 19
but thorp was faster in the freestyle but no one can beat phelps in the butterfly

I'm not saying Phelp's isn't a great swimmer or anything...he's having an excellent meet, that's for sure. Thorpe has become Australian's greatest ever Olympian.

Despite my prefence for Pieter van den Hoogeband, I have to agree with Lyn there. (But he did beat Thorpe in Sydney big time, teeeheee)
