Sorry for not atteding the bar sooner, I had to seek shelter after an uncommon day of weather here in the galaxy of Maine.

Nope, a Tornado, and a very uncommon one. It's the first in my lifetime that's happened over here.

I mean, there have been other Tornadoes in Maine, just not in the town that I live in.

It was hardly a big one either. I didn't see it, but I did see the funnel cloud. Shortly after that, the national weather service here in Grey Maine issued a Tornado Warning saying that a tornado had been indicated.

I had to keep my computer shut off because we had a massive line of thunderstorms rolling through all day.

ahhhhhhh that IS unusual for Maine.....we in Kansas on the other hand seem to be overrun with them in the spring. 😖

Like I said, it is quite uncommon in Maine. Yeah, Kansas on the other hand is another story I'm sure.

Anyway, it was nothing major, but it sure scared the hell out of us. They were saying to grab blankets to protect yourself from glass, and then they said to seek shelter in the lowest part of your house under a sturdy object.

thats the drill........ I assume there arent many basements in Maine because of the water table?

Hmm, well my house has a basement. I'm not quite sure about the majority of houses having a basement or not down here. 😬

You probably don't know of Sanford Maine, the President sometimes lands his plane at the airport here because his father has a place in kennebunk. But that is where the tornado was spotted, down by our airport, and as to what we heard, it was very brief and didn't do much at all.
