if you look at the clouds off in the distance, they are are identical in both pictures. Can it be we caught the cg people pasting? (though it wouldn't surpriuse me if they did, who is gonna stare at it long enough to notice, except me lol)

Those clouds were definitely made from the same digital model. The left side is the only part that makes them significantly different. Nice catch.
