she really was my saving grace through school . we met in the 6th grade . she came in as a new studnet from a different class.....
i was an outsider in school . no one wanted to be friends with me....school was a living hell to get through everyday...then i had to go home where the hell continued .
there was this group of "popular" girls who harrassed me all the time and when Tami came in the class......they wanted her to sit with them .
she looked around the room and saw me in the back of the class and came sat next to me.....

Tracie , one of the "popular girls tried talking Tami into joining their group....she declined cuz it meant she couldnt be my friend anymore...
she got hell from that one choice she made but she didnt care...she loved me dearly as a friend and i didnt understand then why would someone choose to be friends with me....instead of being popular....
its just the way she was...popularity meant nothing to her . she stuck to my side like glue....slowly lifting my spirits each day .
Wow....alot of people don't know what to say to "thank you's" and the such, which I find ridiculous, but...I never know what to say to something like this....oh and by the way Shellie, Tami looks A LOT like some girl who was a junior when I graduated last June...which always urks me.
