This side of the road was much more open. There were no trees for maybe two hundred yards, and even that was just a sparse grove of scrawny ash trees. The good part was, there was a fairly steep slope from the road to the field below it. Also, they were well out of sight of the cops by now, especially if they went into the trees on the other side.
Evan walked in the ditch below the road, out of sight from anybody on the other side or on the highway itself.
Davey held her tightly to him, her softness and the smell of her hair was almost overwhelming, when she kissed him he let out his breath slowly. He ran his fingers down her back, feeling the contours of her shoulders and spine.
All of the tension and fear of his life seemed to drain out of him as he held her
She shifted her position and sat on his lap, gently pressing against him. She ran her fingers underneath his shirt as she found his lips again with hers a moment before she let out a soft sigh in his ear. Her fingers traveled up his back as her body being so close to his mingled with his body heat and made her feel warm.
Dani finally got enough courage to go into the barn. She realized she had to warn them, even though she had no clue who they were, she knew for sure they were the ones everyone was talking about. She had heard, the day before, about abuncha runaways. Cops and detectives were searching. They were bound to be found eventually. Thats why she had come to warn them... and to join them of course.
Sliding his hands underneath the back of her shirt Davey ran his fingertips over her skin, her closeness was deeply comforting and exciting, maybe it was just the alchohol, or the cool night air, but it had never been the same with any other girl.
Kissing her again deeply he ran his right hand around and onto her hip, his thumb brushing her stomach
She playfully pulled his shirt over his head and gently pushed him down onto the grass. She kissed his chest down to stomach and then back up as she stradled over him. She then saw the tattoo on his upper arm. She looked up at him, a little surprised from the picture of racism forever inked onto his skin. She then ran her fingertips over his tattoo and kissed it with a grin and playfully ran her tongue along it. His racism didn't bother her, but she knew if she ever saw it surface it would get ugly, and that could get scary. She ran her hands over his bare chest and kissed the side of his neck again as her purple hair waterfalled down onto his skin around his upper chest as she leaned over him.
Tanya's descent went pretty much smoothly until she was about half a foot from the bottom. Her foot got caught on a rock, which in her hasty retreat made her fall forward. She rolled downward sliding into a tree head first. Groaning, she stood up and rubbed her forehead as she got up and ran after Evan. She knew they wouldn't get caught for now.
Tanya couldn't help but feel a little guilty about the others who stayed behind. Storm's clumsiness could be considered a plague on their souls for leaving, but she felt sorry for the little guy.
Tanya ran blindly into the small forest of ashtrees as she was finally catching up, somewhat, with Evan.
Dani picked up her skateboard and entered the barn. She was surprised to see that everyone had left. "Oh shit..." She said to herself. She ran in no paticular direction, heading towards some trees. She would hopefully fine some of them there. She had an idea, it could help all of them.
She ran until she heard moaning. "What the hell?" She whispered to herself, hoping they hadn't heard her. She snuck up behind a tall tree, but could hardly see them. She creeped up a little clser, stepping on a branch. "Crap." She said outloud.
