On a dark desert highway
Cool wind in my hair
Warm smell of colitas
Rising up through the air
Up ahead in the distance
I saw a shimmering light
My head grew heavy, and my sight grew dim
I had to stop for the night
There she stood in the doorway
I heard the mission bell
And I was thinking to myself
This could be Heaven or this could be He**
Then she lit up a candle
And she showed me the way
There were voices down the corridor
I thought I heard them say
Welcome to the Hotel California
Such a lovely place
Such a lovely place (background)
Such a lovely face
Plenty of room at the Hotel California
Any time of year
Any time of year (background)
You can find it here
You can find it here
Her mind is Tiffany twisted
She's got the Mercedes bends
She's got a lot of pretty, pretty boys
That she calls friends
How they dance in the courtyard
Sweet summer sweat
Some dance to remember
Some dance to forget
So I called up the Captain
Please bring me my wine
He said
We haven't had that spirit here since 1969
And still those voices are calling from far away
Wake you up in the middle of the night
Just to hear them say
Welcome to the Hotel California
Such a lovely Place
Such a lovely Place (background)
Such a lovely face
They're livin' it up at the Hotel California
What a nice surprise
What a nice surprise (background)
Bring your alibies
Mirrors on the ceiling
Pink champagne on ice
And she said
We are all just prisoners here
Of our own device
And in the master's chambers
They gathered for the feast
They stab it with their steely knives
But they just can't kill the beast
Last thing I remember
I was running for the door
I had to find the passage back to the place I was before
Relax said the nightman
We are programed to recieve
You can check out any time you like
But you can never leave

(Young - Young - Scott)
You never told me where you came from
You never told me your name
I didn't know if you were legal tender
But I spent you just the same
And I didn't know it could happen to me
But I fell in love in the first degree
It was love at first feel
Love at first feel
Love at first feel
I was touched with too much
They told me it was disgustin'
They told me it was a sin
They saw me knocking on your front door
Saw me smile when you let me in
You and me baby we're all alone
Let's get something goin'
While your mum and dad ain't home
Love at first feel
It was love at first feel, just like a sin
Love at first feel
Feel good just like I knew it would, ah ah
Love at first feel
It was love at first feel
Love at first feel
It was love at first feel
Love at first feel, lightning bolts in my fingertips
Love at first feel
Love, whoo
Love at first feel
Love at first feel
Love at first feel
Love at first feel
Love at first feel
Love at first feel
Love at first feel
So this is the thread Lana told me about. Hahaha.
First off, good to see Rex teaching people who's boss in his thread. Go Reximus. T-Rex....Rex Factor etc.
Second, the amount of nonsense in that Tool argument, posted from BOTH sides, was laughable.
"Tool worship the devil." "I know what Tool lyrics mean."
No they don't and no you don't. Nearly every single interpretation posted on the net is wrong, as said by the man who wrote the lyrics. So don't think it makes you smart to say you "get" the lyrics. There are certain themes maybe, yes, but you don't know what they mean, so don't claim you do.
Half the people who think they know about Tool are either not into the band and judging them from afar, or the type of fan who listens through the albums, takes part in a few discussions and feel they are on the band's level. It's hilariously pathetic and I shall have at you all for ruining this bar and grill.

Ive never heard their music...what genre is Tool?
I have yet to purchase one of their albums. I like them, but not THAT much...
iTunes is stupid and needs to put them on... 🙄 Along with other good things, like Led Zep and the Beatles...pfft...
Anyways... *takes a bow for AC* Thank you, thank you, you're all too kind. And too true about the Tool argument.
