Let's do some orientation here regarding Roman Numbers

Just remember these important symbols people:

I = 1
V = 5
X = 10
L = 50
C = 100
D = 500
M = 1000

Converting a number into a Roman Numeral system is more like adding the symbols to get the equivalent of it...

The usual arrangement would be highest first then the lowest value like 6 = VI
11 = XI

or adding equal values like
3 = III
30 = XXX

but remember, it only limits into THREE the same symbols.. not four...
do not write
IIII for 4 or
XXXX for 40

instead take the nearest place symbol with respect to the number
and do some subtraction like
4 = IV
40 = XL
400 = CD

if you can notice, the lowest value precedes the highest... in that case you need to subtract the lowest from the highest to get the equivalent...
or take the negative of the lowest then add them together...
i.e.:
CM = -100 + 1000 = 900

I hope that helps. 😉

now CLX
😎

so it'd be CLXI?
