A small note for this film. During the screenplay, a scene was considered which would explain Bond's altered appearance by showing him in a hospital undergoing plastic surgery. But the filmmakers rejected the idea, however, and the scene was never written. Good thing too, because Sean Connery returned for the next film. How would they explain his sudden alteration back? They instead used the idea toward Blofeld to explain his change in DAF.
It seems that stuntman Yuri Borienko [who also plays a part in the film as a Blofeld henchman] was involved with Lazenby's screen testing for the part...
In the trial scene in question they did a tester for the fight in Tracy's hotel room and Lazenby broke Yuri's nose...Yuri promptly brushed it off with a plaster and gave it another go...
