btw - whats the difference between "Mitä kuuluu" and "Kuinka voit"?

Umm... And kuinka voit is asked usually when someone is sick or hasn't been doing well. So mitä kuuluu is sort of: How are you? and Kuinka voit is sort of: How are you doing.
Mitä kuuluu is the most used.
