A personal pet peeve of mine is bad grammar... for instance, the "there" in your sentence should've been "their," as it's a possessive... *sigh* But I'm sure you don't care.
I hate it when people make fun of me for having arachnophobia, when they themselves, say, are afraid of heights. (I guess I could've shortened that to hypocrites...)
