Avril Lavigne ... Her music's generally all right. I like certain of her songs, but not all of them. She's not the only talented singer, though, with newcomers such as Katy Rose and Skye Sweetnam, who can be as good as her. Sweetnam seems to be even more talented than Lavigne because she's younger. What I don't get is why Lavigne hates the song that launched her career, Complicated, and why she dislikes her first album. Why did she have to do it if she didn't want to then? Was she forced by her record company to do so? She should be grateful, on the contrary, that Let Go was such a big success that she's now a household name with legions of fans. According to reports, she also does have character and doesn't hesitate to criticise fellow singers like Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and Hilary Duff. Katy Rose said Lavigne's second album, Under My Skin, is overproduced. I don't really know what she means by that, but I definitely have fewer favourite songs from her second album than the first. With Skye Sweetnam and others now doing the same kind of music as Lavigne, I think it's good she's having a bit of competition and lets others share the limelight.
