Maybe or maybe not, at the end of the day, theres no point in saying cruel stuff about people you don't really know or know about! If you hear people calling your friends a whore or a skank, you would be pretty annoyed. You would say to these people that they don't know your friend. Same as you don't know Avril!

do i have to know her? no. i've seen interveiws, read articles about her actions, seen photos in magazines about her, heard her music. thats enough to found an opinion. do you know the president of the united states? well if you havn't, you can't form any opinion on him. thats working it out by YOUR standards. and anyone who goes "i write my music" but only suggests a few words in a few songs is a skank.

Actually, she could be really nice. Interviews, photo's, pretty much EVERY form of media can be EDITTED.
But her music is dire and she looks like Mini Love. Nuh-uh.

IMO Avril is most of the bad things people say about her, of course people tent to exaggerate things and rumors that aren't true are many times mistaken for true facts. That taken into consideration, I don't absolutely hate Avril and everything about her like many of the people on the Internet. I think her music it ok, not good, not that bad just ok, it's not annoying, I could easily listen to her in the background, her music is somewhat pleasant to a point. I wouldn't play an Avril song just for the sake of listening to music but I'd rather hear her than 80% of the crap on MTV. I think of her as a step towards better music, a lot of 12 year olds who like her will probably grow up to like better music, unlike people who at 12 listen to Britney fvcking Spears, the forgotten Back street Boys and crap like that.
I think Avril is a poser, some interviews I've read about her were shocking, I don't appreciate people who don't write their own lyrics and I defiantly don't appreciate her Guns cover for Knocking On Heavens Door, that actually is one of the things I hate most about her.
An 18 year old really who likes Avril may not have the best taste in music IMO but hey no one's perfect, I can live with them better than I can live with the people who like music depending on how sexy the singers and the song is. I think it's sad the sex is even what sells a great deal of music today.
Basically what I'm saying is that while Avril may be a b1tch, poser and whatever els you'd like to call her, she's not the worst out there. You should spend your time hating bands/singers who really deserve it.
