EDIT: I plan on eventually learning French properly. I just hate the way it's being taught in school - like something that's only required, not like something we should want to learn.

Well, it is a huge part of my country's heritage....plus I doubtless have some French ancestry, if I were to delve far enough back....

well, if that's your logic then I'd better go learn Danish.
