doped I should hope so.
I fixed it up a bit...
I can't live like this anymore, Jesse!" Lucy screamed in frustration. The Apartment was a mess. She tried to walk into the living room with out tripping over trash or ripped clothes. He sat there, his eyes glued to the TV as he reached for another beer.
Lucy would still be living in her parents house if it wasn't for her stealing her moms money for her drug addiction.
"weh de yuu say?" Jesse asked. You could tell he was drunk, he couldn't even talk with out speaking gibberish.
He tried getting up but kept toppling over.
"I'm sick of this!" She yelled, sitting on a filthy chair.
She took a sip of his beer bottle as Jesse wobbled to the bathroom. You could tell he was puking. Probably a hangover, she thought.
She got up and walked over to the phone and dialed her moms cell.
"Hello?"
"Mom its me... Can I come back home?" Jesse came over and walked up and grabbed the phone from her then hung it up. He put his arms around her waist.
"Get away from me, you creep," Lucy said as she pulled away.
He just laughed and pulled her back.
"Let me go."
This time he let her walk away and he looked at her with a angry expression.
"I told you not to use the f***ing phone, Lucy!" he yelled at her, she flinched. "I don't have money like I used to!"
"Maybe if you quit your drinking and got a job, maybe you would!" she snapped. He walked up and pushed her to the ground, hitting her with a beer bottle.
She got up and ran for the door but he stood in her way.
"Let me go!" she sobbed. He pushed her till she fell to the ground again, then he left. She got up and ran outside.
She ran, pressed the button for the elevator rapidly.
"Cmon.." she screamed. The elevator's doors opened and she walked in and pressed the main floor button. While waiting, she felt her back where Jesse hit her with the beer bottle. She looked at her hands, blood covered the tips of her fingers.
She screamed even louder and started kicking the elevator's doors, which ended up having a small dent in it. They finally opened and she stummbled out of the elevator. She leaned against the wall as she pulled out a used injection needle. She just couldn't face reality anymore. She dosed herself and started limping towards the gate. She looked like a total lunatic. Her hair was filled with grease and knots. She had dirt on her skin, her eyes were bloodshot red, her teeth were rotting and yellow, and she was anorexic. She just turned 16 about a month ago. And about Jesse, well that was a different story. She'd met him at a nightclub when they were both drunk, which is when Lucy ran away. She had no where to go but Jesse's and she still hasn't got anywhere in life. Reality was a dream, and thats where she was. Lucy sat on the bench outside the court yard. She glanced around barely knowing whats happening. Where will she get the money for her next drug dose? and the next? and the next? and the next? And so on. A cop walked up to her.
"Excuse me, lady, but aren't you supposed to be at home? It's 12:30 AM." he said, glancing up at the tall apartment building.
"I don't live there," she said, yawning.
"Well I'll drive you home," he said grabbing her arm and pulling her up.
"No!" She screamed and ran. She tripped and fell then smacked her head on the pavement. All she could see is lights flashing and the sound of a siren far away. She lay there motionless, her breathing shallow. The cop saw the blood that was soaking through her filthy gray T-shirt. He lifted it up and saw the cut.
"Baby... please wake up, please," her mother pleaded, holding her daughters hand.
Lucy opened her eyes. She glanced around to see her moms worried face, along with her dad with his arms crossed, and her older brother. Lucy tried to talk but nothing would come out. She looked up at the hoses and antibiotic bags that were hanging from the metal post. She just realised she was in the hospital, wearing some sort of mask around her mouth... something that had air blowing out of it. She glanced up one more time, this time seeing the green chart showing her heartbeat rate. She was on life support.
"W-w-w-wh," she sighed and tried to talk again.
"Wh-wh-ha-tt, Ha-hh-happ-, happ, e-nn-d?" She managed to ask.
"You passed out, honey," Her mom sighed
"You over dosed that piece of sh*t," Lucy's brother's voice filled with anger. The doctor asked if he could talk to them alone.
"I have some very bad news," the doctor held his last few words in.
"I'm afraid she only has a 20 percent chance of making it through the night."
Lucy heard her mom burst into tears.
"WHY?! WHY DID THIS HAVE TO HAPPEN?!" She screamed, sobbing, and disturbing the other hospital patients. She fell to the floor, her head in her hands.
Lucy's brother, Jay walked back over and sat beside Lucy, gripping her hand tightly as tears started to well up in his eyes. She didn't bother talking, so she tried to reach for a pad of paper and a pen. Her hand was shaking. She managed to write 'Wheres jesse?' Lucy handed it to her brother, expecting a reply.
"Hes at the apartment still," he said as he walked away and out of the emergency room.
She was alone. She heard her mom and dad shuffle out of the room, following Jay.
A nurse walked into the room, along with a few doctors.
"We're going to stitch that cut on your back, Lucy," the nurse said while replacing the mask with a different mask that made her pass out. She woke up a hour later, something itching at her back. She felt for it. It was the stitches. A guy was sitting beside her bed, it came into view that it was Jesse. He smiled and held up a needle. It had clear acid in it.
"W-w-h," Lucy sputtered. Jesse injected the acid into the small hose that connected to her wrist. He waited until the acid dropped down into the injection part. They heard shuffling noises outside the room. He dashed for a hiding spot and left. By the time Lucy's mom, dad and brother came back into the room. Lucy was dead.
