Tool & Nin

they are both really great and original bands. i like tool i little bit more than nin because industrial get a little annoying sometimes, therefore if you mix the 2 bands you get powerman 5000 and if you add boxcar racer, tool, and nine inch nails you get deadsy.

NIN are so much more than industrial 😬

Yeah totally but they have that mechanical sound.

Beatles fanatic? I am no where near a beatles fanatic, infact i only own one album from the beatles, but i do recognize the impact they had on music. An impact that no other band or musician in history has been able to re-produce.I dont even like the beatles all that much, al there early shit isnt worth listening to, there older matieral is awsome, either way i would take zeppelin any day.

The fact is that NIN are out dated and extremley repetive with there music. What songs they do make that dont suck mirror there classics from about 6 years ago. NIN went from being a potential original force in music to becomming forgotten and repetitive

50 Cent has made a equal impact on music than The Beatles. It doesn't make him great.

It's not a fact coz they aren't outdated or repetitive with their music. Trent always reinvents the music.

Into The Void for example, off The Fragile. One of the many songs that could only ever come from his mind. If he produces a whole new album that sounds kinda like that but just as awesome, why the would you wanna complain?

That whole album is pure and utter genius. Without exception. The Downward Spiral is awesome and Pretty Hate Machine is great. All their other stuff is by no means boring.

The REAL fact is that NIN are by no means forgotten by the people who matter.

Powerman 5000 are nothing like NIN. 😕

yeah power man 5000 sound nothing like them

I really like Tool
I didnt' like them at first, but then I started listening to them even more and now they are one of my favorite bands
I absolutely love Maynard's voice... it's amazing!
They also have some of the best concerts.... there's always something to watch

TOOL are in my top 10 bands

^Agree with both ES and Fearnix

if i ever meet/see maynard i am just gonna try and shake his hand and say you are truely a god of singing

If anything he's not like that, judging from interview and what not.

He's very much into the fact that it's a joint project of all 4 members. I don't think he likes being singled out.

yeah i know that but just for his voice i mean i love the other members but his voice is great

He's a really private guy... He explained in an interview that he tries to avoid too much contact with fans, since he doesn't want his ego and those of his bandmates to get all inflated and nasty...

He also wants to remove the cult of celebrity from the communication going on with the music. I think it's fair enough, but I can see the other side of the coin.

Having said that: he has no duty to please anyone, his job is to put out the music.

I agree. If I saw him I'd make sure to ask him if he wanted to talk as opposed to feeling he is obliged to. Which he isn't.

He gives me and many others music that is evolution on disc, he need do no more as far as I'm concerned.

i hate big headed band members that think they are realy important and should be treated like gods thats why tool are so cool

You know whats a real shame, the Tapeworm project getting terminated. I mean with Trent and Maynard working together, the possibilities would be limitless. Its almost scary to think how awesome it could have been if they'd got into full swing.

well maybe i´n wrong but isn´t trent and maynard only guests in the tapeworm project? i have one song that maynard had sing live with apc, its really a shame that the project had ended.
