Hurt - NIN
Straight From The Jacket - No Use For A Name
Deperate Now - Stabbing Westward (actually the whole Darkest Days album is heart wrenching)
Comfortably Numb - Pink Floyd

After gigging originals and covers for 11 yrs, I'm still amazed by the raw unadulterated mood-lowering-bumming-everyone-out-power of throwing REM's "Everybody hurts" into the set...

You can be having the place swinging in a blinding mood well into your set and then you play THAT song and VWAAAAPOWWWWW!!!!! The place becomes a pile of quasi-suicidal lemmings....

to be the one by ryan adams

Well the pills I got they ask me lets go out for a while
And the knives up in the kitchen are all too dull to smile
Yeah and the sun it tries to warn me
Boy those wings are made of wax
While the things I do to kill me
They just tell me to relax
But oh Cinderella
All dressed up in all your boots and all your charms
I'm not the fellow
To protect you or to keep you from all your harm
And I don't know which is worse
To wake up and see the sun
Or to be the one be the one
Be the one that's gone

Right now This Years Love makes me sad 🙁

"Who wants to live forever" by Queen....

Real sad stuff....

"Life by the Drop" by Stevie Ray Vaughn

Written by Doyle Bramhall and Barbara Logan inspired as they watched SRV waste away because of his addictions. SRV cleaned up and recorded this song as kind of a thanx, then died (helicopter crash) just as he started to enjoy life.

Hello there, my old friend,
not so long ago it was 'till the end
We played outside in the pouring rain,
on our way up the road we started over again

You're livin' a dream, wo you on top
My mind is achin', Lord it won't stop
That's how it happens, livin' life by the drop

Up and down that road in our worn out shoes,
talkin' 'bout good things and signin' the blues
You went your way, I stayed behind
We both knew it was just a matter of time

You're livin' a dream, wo you on top
My mind is achin', Lord it won't stop
That's how it happens, livin' life by the drop

No wasted time, we're alive today
Churnin' up the past, there's no easier way
Time's been between us, a means to an end
God it's good to be here walkin' together my friend

You're livin' a dream, wo you on top
My mind is achin', Lord it won't stop
That's how it happens, livin' life by the drop
That's how it happens, livin' life by the drop
That's how it happens, livin' life by the drop

If you don't want to be with me just say and I will go."
