The Official Frwl Thread

For the BEST bond ever.

I would disagree that FRWL is the best Bond ever. I wouldn't even put it in my top 10.

it's a classic, but not the best 😛

it's the best classic 😊 or one of the best at least 😄

you just love using that site huh 😛

stay away from my site 😛

Tidbits! (from said site 😛)

Unknown to cast and crew, Pedro Armendariz (Ali Karim Bey) was dying of cancer. When his conditions was revealed, he nonetheless finished his scenes and a party was thrown in his honor. Days later, in the hospital, he committed suicide. cry

In both the British and American trailers, the name of every major cast member is mentioned, except one: Sean Connery. 😖

Principal photography ended two days before a revolution in Istanbul. 😱

Just after Bond and Tatiana jump off the Orient Express, Ian Fleming can be seen standing next to a car. 😖hifty:

Daniella Bianchi was an ex-Miss Italy. 😎

you're killing the site 🙁

Nice to see ANOTHER classic Bond get The Offical Tread treatment. And nice tibits to got with it, Evy. 🙂

that first one especially is pretty weird 😖 🙁

Yeah...seemingly he was in terrible pain during the shoot...IIRC his son appears in a later Bond film...apologies, it's name escapes me.

I actually posted that first one in the funfacts 😛

US FRWL fans need to stick together, and btw IT IS THE BEST BOND, the closest to IAN FLEMINGS books, and the book FRWL is really good too,

I do not think it is of any importance if a bond movie is close to the books, cause the books are very different from the movies characterwise

It's one of the most realistic Bond films imho ✅
and of course it has Blofeld 😱

I haven't read any of the books 🥷

Indeed, P6. Not alone a *great Bond film* but a *great film* in it's own right...one of the best films of the '60s IMO.

I agree! It's a really nice one 😄 Though I haven't seen much 60s films 😛

Try THE GREAT ESCAPE and BONNIE AND CLYDE...and while you're at it take in OHMSS again. 😉
