Fantastic Four movie disscussion

CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR ULTIMATE FANTASTIC FOUR

I think the story should be the same as in Ultimate Fantastic Four. Reed Richards should be a geek, who is asked to join The Think Tank, where he meets Johnny and Sue Storm and Victor Van Damn. The Moleman should be a teacher, who is fired because he has been doing illegal experiments creating life. Ben Grimm should then show up years later before their experiemnt and unwhittingly becomes The Thing. Sue is kidnaped by Moleman, Reed is found in the desert, The Thing in Mexico and The Human Torch is France. Wanting to bring the Storm children together, Moleman sets a monster on the city to get Johnny.

Dr. Doom should not be introduced until the sequal.

They're already basing it on Ultimate Fantastic Four.

...Its VON DOOM, numbnuts. If anybody here says Van Damme again and they don't mean the gymnast-movie star guy, I'm crackin skulls.

Doom is not the kind of villain that dies, he's the type thats always got an escape plan, so theres no reason to leave him out of the first one. If Tim Story kills Doom off in the first movie, I will find out where he lives and toilet paper his house.

hahaha

*!!Van Damme!!* 😖hifty:

Yeah, the thing that I like about Doom is that he's not your tippical "scientist gone-mad". He runs his own freakin country! That's one of the reasons they can't arrest him, because of his Diplomacy. I can't wait to see him on screen.

You don't ARREST Doom, you simple minded fool. You kill Doom or Doom crushes you under his bootheel. The thought of some civil servant putting handcuffs on Doom is laughable. HA!

You have made Doom laugh. You may live another day.

McMahon is Dr. Doom in Fantastic Four! Source: Variety, The Hollywood Reporter Tuesday, August 3, 2004

Variety reports that "Nip/Tuck" star Julian McMahon (pictures) will play Dr. Doom in 20th Century Fox's Fantastic Four.

The "Nip/Tuck" star will play the venerable villain in "Fantastic Four," 20th Century Fox's Tim Story-directed film adaptation of the Marvel Comics franchise. Pic goes into production this month in Vancouver for a July 1 release.

Doom, a crazed scientific genius who hides his scarred face behind a metal mask, goes up against the title quartet of Michael Chiklis (Ben Richards/the Thing), Jessica Alba (Sue Richards/the Invisible Woman), Ioan Gruffudd (the eminently stretchable Reed Richards) and Chris Evans (Johnny Storm/the Human Torch). Simon Kinberg wrote the script.

The Hollywood Reporter says McMahon was offered the role on Friday and a deal will likely be made

I think it's gonna be a cool movie. I've read that interview with the actors and they seemed very eager and excited. The cast is not bad I think this movie might be good.

Those are not my words they are from Variety and Hollywood Reprter I just posted it here so don't tell me about it.

I heard Chiklis do the Clubbering time voice and he's a pretty good choice for Ben. It's Clubbering time!

This movie will go horribly and tragically wrong. I can sense it.

Just like all of us comic book fans can 🙁

What exactly do you mean by that? Fans can go wrong? Confusing post.

-AC

I think he means that we can all sense that movie is going to be a failure.

Have you guys seen the latest FF comic? Not the Ultimate version, but some new updated version. The FF all look like kids. I think thats why Jessica Alba was cast, theyre going for a younger, hipper FF. That is so lame. FF is one of the oldest and dearest of marvel comics. Tim Story should treat it with respect, not cater to the MTV crowd.

This movie may not end up as bad as Catwoman, but its gonna be close.

Yes thats what I meant thank you for clearing that up for him. Anyway in a previous interview that was held with Tim Story he claimed the film would be based on both the classic version and the Ultimate version of the Fantastic Four. In my oppinion I think it will based more on the Ultimate version.

Filming Location for Fantastic Four Source: Super Hero Hype Monday, August 9, 2004

'Richard' brought to our attention a notice that was posted in Vancouver about a set for Fox's Fantastic Four. The description of the set is a bit of a spoiler, so don't read the following if you'd rather not know...

Please take a moment to read this note regarding the filming of the 20th Century Fox feature film "The Fantastic Four." FF Productions Ltd. will be working at 300 Low Level Rd. from August 2 to November 12. We will be building a Brooklyn Bridge set on the site. Once construction is complete we will film on the site. After filming has taken place we will dismantle and remove the set. When we have a film schedule in place, we will deliver another notice detailing our filming plan.

"The Fantastic Four" is a feature film based on the Marvel Comics created by Stan Lee. Our story follows four astronauts who, during an experimental space mission that went awry, are genetically and physically altered after being exposed to cosmic radiation. Reed Richards gains the ability to stretch and contort his body; Sue Storm is able to become invisible and create force fields; Johnny Storm can light himself on fire and fly; Ben Grimm becomes a rock-like being with super human strenght. Together they use their powers to fight the evil plans of their nemesis, Victor Von Doom.

Stay tuned for more on the filming!

FF could have the potential to be the best Marvel movie but only if they take their time and do it right like spiderman....otherwise it could be plain terrible
