Some of them are better than Marvel and DC, but aren't around anymore. Valiant, Chaos, Maximum Press, Epic comics are all gone. Know why they didn't last as long? Ignorant people only looked for comic books with the Marvel or DC logo on them.
If you can't pick up the comics, but love the characters, try checking websites. You know, Marvel and DC have official websites, so do Dark Horse and Image. Top Cow has their own website too. Valiant does too.
Getting asked "what r their powers, what r the villians" gets really annoying.
I like the idea of this movie. The FF have been around forever, and yet are still fairly obscure. The characters are great, and it'll be interesting to see how they pull this off--SO MUCH of this is gonna have to be CGI--and it just wouldn't have been possible before now. Still, it'll cost an absolute fortune to make, and I already klnow that it won't generate the kind of revenue that a movie like this should make--but that makes it all the more appealing.
I'm not sure about the casting--all I've heard so far is that Jessica chick is gonna play Sue, and all I can say is that her screen test must have been really impressive, because I can't think of anyone in Hollywood who less resembles the Invisible Woman, but I'll try to reserve judgment until I actually see her on-screen. I've been thinking a little bit about this movie, and have been trying to think who would be good to play Reed, Johnny and Ben.
Admittedly, the comic-book hero is a difficult role to step into, of course, you need an intelligent, yet cocky type for Mr. F--and who could play the Human Torch? Grimm ought to be easy enough to cast--just a big guy with a NY attitude, and a biting wit. My oldest son loves Johnny, and I know that his enjoyment of the whole movie will hinge on the way they portray him, but he's only 7--so his standards aren't too lofty.
It's far too soon for me to even speculate on the plot, but if anyone knows anything, I could always squeeze in some time to cogitate a little bit about the subject.
OK--I know you meant for that to help me, but it seems as if I just crawled out from under a friggen rock. I think I may have seen the guy from the Shield before...but I still obviously don't know him from Adam.
Nice av, by the way. Is that the "hustle"? Do the hustle--doodododododododoo, OK, I just totally dated myself--and only those over 25 will probably even understand that vague 70's reference.
