Hey creechur i wasnt complaining just suggesting what they could have done to make it better and with next generation consoles out by the time the next games out then it will be possible to do what i said and probably even make two islands the same size as the one now. With PS3, X-Box2 and whatever nintendo comes up with it will be very possible to acheive every thing ive said.
Hopefully it will happen.
You changed your name again I cant keep up with you ๐
Anyways the creators arent ever gonna look at this thread so theres no use in arguing how we want the game to look like in Spider-Man 3.
But for all the people who havent played the game its awesome and the swinging and the huge detailed city you get to explore it awesome ๐
*sigh*
Ok, lets talk about video game mechanics here.
Spider-Man 2 is a HOLISTIC game. You are looking at a whole city from the outside in. Most games are within enclosed spaces/move a lot slower, therefore the detail HAS to be higher.
With a city this big, the detail has to be taken down a peg, just so the game will run!
Had they thrown in more detail, you'd still complain over the fact that it would have loading screens (like Grand Theft Auto - whos citys were nowhere near as detailed, you tell by the freakin resolution of the textures). It would NEED loading screens because it wouldn't be able to stream it as fast as it does when the detail is lower.
I'd rather take a lower polygon count over loading screens anyday.
People should really understand what goes into making a video game (I dare you to construct a mere LEVEL - one that flows and is designed well - in any game engine to see how much technical expertise it takes) before shooting off criticism about something they know very little about.
i finished the game rather quickly (a few times actually) and there's nothing to do, and i'm sick of playing with the movie-ized spidey costume. does anyone know any working codes or ways i can use diff costumes? they implemented it in every nextgen spidey game to date, so i'd be suprised if they did'nt put it in this one.

The city in GTA isnt that detailed but its so huge.It has so many back roads and alot to see if you just go exploring one day ๐
I thought the city in Spider-Man was detailed one of the best was where the twin towers use to be they had the same light memorial they do in real life which was really cool.

That was my point exactly is easier said than done when making a game fvj just doesnt get it tho.
