yeah but assassinating is a Ninja's job, Jin is a Samurai, so he isnt exactly on the precision killing thing, but somehow he made a profession outa it, in a way, sorta, but im not sure exactly. *is now lost*
WAIT A MINUTE!!!! A samurai is a soldier and a ninja an assasin!!
So what would make them....outlawed samurai?
I've FINALLY found it! That song that was sampled in the "Gambler's & Gallantry" episode at the end when Jin breaks that girl out of the brothel! YAY! They played it on the radio last night on the smooth jazz station, I called it in and they gave me the title. What a relief, because it was making me crazy with frustration. 🤪 For anyone who actually cares, 😛 the song is "Affirmation" by, as I originally said before, the infamous George Benson.
Man, George Benson is so sweet they're sampling his music in Anime shows now? Awesome!
...Okay, what were we talking about now? 😕
*sigh* no people your somewhat right but its wrong. Jin and Mugen are both "ronin" meaning they are of the samurai social class but are considered slightly inferior due to the fact that they dont have a master. in laymans terms they are freelancers but they dont get as much respect because they dont have a full time job.
understand now?
Edit:i was wondering...in episode 2 (Red Eye Reprisal) why did mugen carry that wooden board with him on the way to fight the arm-less man for the antidote?

yes, you are right about the ronin thing, but actually Samurai are bodies gaurds to their lords, that is actually what samurai means, "to protect" or sumthing really along those lines.
once again you are wrong. the purpose of the samurai was not limited to just one use. samurai could be on the battlefield or be a bodyguard(aka yojimbo), etc,etc . and finally samurai means "to serve" not "to protect".
may i suggest that you do some actual research before you start pulling stuff out of your ass. perhaps you should try wikipedia?
Well, seems there is a bit of a misunderstanding here?
As far as I know samurai means "to serve" or "to protect" though I think to serve is the more common meaning. Ronin are samurai that have no master or fell out of favor...thus they are looked down upon by samurai that have masters to serve.
Samurai also have many different uses for their lords. They could be simple soldiers, bodyguards, and even assassins.
Now please don't get angry with me for stepping in and adding my two cents....I just want to help straighten things out 🙂
