Signature Help/Tutorials

Okay several things I need help with.

Should brushes be used? I don't use them at all, and I don't get the concept of them.

Boarders, I am quite confused, I don't get how to make them.

Gradient Tool, I don't know how to make it so that for example: Black in the corner, orange in the middle, and black in the other corner.

Brushes are sometimes a necessity in signatures.

Borders can be added by making a new layer, then press ctrl+A, that will select everything, then go to edit stroke, and put in the desired pixel amount you want, and click the outside potion.

The gradiantmap I can't help you on, because I forgot.

Or just a Black to Orange to Black?

I gots another question. How can i have a solid effect with backgrounds like i've seen with other sigs.

so what is usually the width and heigth in pixles for most sigs

450x150 is the limits and i use that all the time

If you are using photosop....File>Save For Web> and lower the quality until its under 30.07 kb or the quality is so bad you close the program in anger and run to get an ice cream cone.

For borders I usually use it set to Center, myself.

I need help with the renders in sigs. I cant seem to figure out how to use the magic wand... I need to get rid of the backround in my render.. Any help?? PLZ?? I would appriciate ANY help.. 🙂

Magic wand rarely ever works unless the background is one solid color, even then it won't totally get rid of everything.
