okay so i'm using gimp but i cant save a gif ing colour it tells me i have to convert it to greyscale how can i get round this? its for an avatar.

Question: How do you upload brush packages into PS?

...I should really know, but I only tried with GIMP, and even then I couldn't actually get them to be brushes. I had to open the brushes individually as .png's then copy-paste as needed. Frustrating as all hell.

If you have the .ABR file you can drop that file into the "\Presets\Brushes" in your Photoshop file and restart PS and they should be there.

Don't even need to restart PS, just go into the Brush menu and select "Load Brushes" or "Replace Brushes".

Thanks guys. It'll help a ton for trying to do stuff. I'll always be reading through a bunch of tuts and borrowing things here and there, then I'll see something involving, say, grunge brushes.

...then I mess around with the default options to try and make it look similar. It's never quite like I'd want it.

hi i just got paintshop and i have a question.
in photoshop, you can simply drag images into another window for use, but that doesnt seem to be an option with paintshop. so, how do i combine images?

i dont use paint shop but try when in the window you want to drag the image from hold [ctrl] and [a] then [ctrl] [c] then go to the window you waant to put it in and hold [ctrl] and [v]

new question: just downloaded a load of fonts, and now i want to put them into photoshop: how?

you need to install them to windows

go to Control Panel>Fonts>File>Install new fonts find where you saved them then click install

Start - Control Panel - Fonts. Drag the files into the window.
