'Flame of Anor'

Has anyone ever wondered abut this?
It's simple.
"I am a Servent of the Secret Fire, wielder of the Flame of Anor!"
the Flame of Anor is....dumdumdum.....=the Ring of Fire, Narya.
"WIELDER of the Flame of Anor".
The "Secret Fire" could be other things, however.
The Heren Istarion ("Order of Wizards"😉, or possibly the Ainur.
Perhaps the "White Council"?
That I don't know, but I believe that the "Flame of Anor (Anar)" is Narya, the Ring of Fire, which Gandalf wielded. 😮‍💨

Wasn't the Flame of Anor mentioned in the "Music of the Ainur"? Narya can't be the Flame of Anor if that is true

Oh....well........I don't remember that?
Oh....still, I think it was Tolkiens intention to say, (in a way) that the 'Flame of Anor' was in the Ring, and that Gandalf was it's wielder.
I could just be completely fecked though.

->Anor is the sun in sindarin, so the "Flame of Anor" is a representant of the "good" fire, the fire that gives light and warmth and especially courage; in contrary to the "Flame of Udûn", Udûn (q. utumno) being "Hell" - the "evil" fire that burns and destroys, like the Balrog's.

Narya (lit. "the Fiery"😉 now as you said represents this "good" fire and the power of the Valar and the western legions;

The Secret Fire is probably the Imperishable (not sure bout the real english name 😬) Flame of Ilúvatar which he set into the heart of the new world to give it life; it was also mentioned in the story of Aule in which he creates the dwarves, but they cant live and think by themselves until Ilúvatar sets this "flame" into their hearts, and they become independant - unlike for example Melkor's orcs.

So....am I right, in anyway, or am I fecked?

Your fecked

Isn't that the name of the Red ring Gandalf was given as part of the elven three?

Yea 😉

Narya--red--Ring of Fire--Gandalf and Celebrimbor's
Nenya--white--Ring of Water--Galadriel's
Vilya--blue--Ring of Sapphire I think 🤨--Gil-Galad and Rondel's ( 😂 )

I don't know about Celebrimbor, for he hid Narya with Cirdan the Ship-wright.
At the coming of the Five Wizards, Cirdan gave Narya to Gandalf.
Gil-galad's ring of Vilya went to Elrond at his death.

wow... some ppl r jus so smart.... im in awe.

pray

you have my allegiance

Ahahah!
Thats one!

I enjoy the LotR but am not one of the folks with an encyclopedic knowledge about it--what exactly do the rings do?

The Rings give the Elves, a sort of, "power", and they imbue their realms with the "power" from the Rings, and....oh, just ask Exa in two days....

What happened, he get banned? (Or is moving or broke his computer...)

"She", and she just went away for a few days.

Yep, Celebrimbor gave Narya to Gil-galad who gave it to Círdan who gave it to Gandalf 🙄 Ring of Fire with I think a ruby in it;

Vilya was the Ring of Air and Sapphire the stone in it 🙂

As for their powers 😬 no time to type anything now (internet time is over), but there's a kinda long answer somewhere in several other threads, you can search for it if you really need the answer 😄 one of them is called something with... translations? translations of lyrics? something like that

😉
