Conan didn't really make Arnold, he was perfectly cast, but seen as good for very little other roles, until Cameron took him on as the Terminator.
I completely agree.
On a different note, Cinema why exactly did you remove so many threads and with them nearly 2300 posts from the Terminator forum?
A very short time ago it was 7600+ posts, but now the numbers are somewhere around 5300+ posts.

You agreed with me, now you agree with him? What gives? "Conan the Barbarian" did indeed make him a household name, and he even scored a cameo in "Red Sonja" because of his characters popularity. "The Terminator" may have been what made him an action movie staple, but it wasn't what made his career.
As for the merging, it will all be explained in a short time with an official announcement.

Conan and T1 solidified him as an action star, but T2 is what made him a super-star. Who knows, without T2 he could have ended up with the ranks of Jean Claude, Steven Segal, or Chuck Norris.
Yeah I agree, after Kindergarten Cop his career was in somewhat danger. Then James came along and offered him T2 and that made sure he kept making action films for as long as he wanted to.

Lets face it, the guy is no actor. He only shines in roles which require him to do minimal 'acting'.
The fact is that most "action stars" are exactly the same way.
Even if Arnold only has a small role in T4, I think that in the advertising and marketing of T4 they will try and make it seem as if he has a large role in the film.
